Accident Procedure

If there is an accident at the pool/facility, the following procedure must be followed:

 1 - Club officials/teachers/coaches to ensure everyone is safe.

 2 - Inform the pool\facility staff who will assess the situation and then follow their emergency plans. The swimmers and members will be directed by the facility's staff.

 3 - All coaches\teachers carry telephone numbers of their swimmers. The swimmers parents must recalled immediately.

 4 - An accident report must be completed.

 5 - The incident must be recorded in the Club Accident / Incident books through the Club Administrator. If appropriate the club's Welfare Officer must be notified.

 6 - Inform club insurer (if appropriate this will be done by the Club Administrator or the Welfare Officer).
